Our visit to Doha will end in a few days so I’ll take this opportunity to show you around The Westin Resort in Doha. We booked this hotel as a stopover option when we booked our air ticket so our room for two nights was just $100USD! That was an awesome deal considering this is a 5-star hotel with great reviews.
Doha is hot around the clock so I nice pool is needed. There are two pool options in the resort. There is a swim up pool bar, a kids pool. If you prefer something indoors, they do have a heated indoor pool option. By night, one of the pools was turned in a poolside party area for guests who want to join in.
Other than the pools, the hotel also offers a few squash courts. One court was used during our quick visit but I thought it was a nice facility to have compared to others we’ve seen in other countries.
Apart from the sport options, there is also a nice gym, a hairdresser, massage and beauty salon & various high-quality restaurants.
The resort was huge and there were two sections. We stayed on the further side but also the newer end. The glass roof was put into good use as by day, the sun hits directly through to the hotel and by night, you can see the stars through the glass. On every floor, there are many sparkly lights to ensure the hotel is lit up nice and bright.
The service here was excellent. Nothing to fault and would consider staying here once more if we stop over Doha again. If you book online, it is pretty expensive but if you try to book it through Qatar airways during promotional periods, this hotel is definitely worth being picked as the stopover hotel.
