Great Coffee Cart at Parndorf Designer Outlet @ Austria

Hi Everyone,

While we were in Austria, it was already cold and being at the outlet walking and buying things non stop (yes non stop LOL), you do get tired and thirsty. We didn’t want anything cold like a soft drink or water from the vending machines so we tried to look for a something warm. The other criteria I had was I didn’t want to really sit down because we don’t have a lot of time left as it was getting dark so something quick and easy would be preferred.

Then we found this cute coffee car. The coffee smell so nice and they also sell hot chocolate. Without thinking, we got a coffee and a hot chocolate (extra hot!). Gosh it was the best drink we had all day! It gave us energy and we were off shopping again after our drink. If you are at the outlet, do look out for this coffee car cos it was a life saver for us!

The End of Daylight Saving Last Night in Sydney …..

Hi Everyone,

If you have read some of my blogs or watched my videos, you would have probably seen me mention daylight saving in Sydney is something I wish would stay forever. Last night was the end of our daylight saving for the summer so we had to change our clocks to go back an hour (yay we got one hour back!).

Screen Shot 2019-04-07 at 7.47.24 pm

The reason I dread daylight saving ending is we loose an extra hour of sunlight. When we finish work by 5pm, the sky is already dark and everything seems so sad. Unlike in summer, the sun is still out when we step out of the office which makes the walk to the bus stop more enjoyable. Tomorrow is the first working day since the change and I’m dreading it. And when it hits June when winter comes around, it will be cold, windy and dark by 5pm.

Another thing why the change of time is a pain is it takes my kids at least a week to adjust to the new timing. So I have to change my schedule slightly to cater for this change and going back to work now I’m not sure how it will work. I guess I will just wait and see tomorrow.

Does your country have daylight saving? Do you like it or not?

Breakfast at Kolektiv Cafe in Český Krumlov , Czech Republic

Hi Everyone,

While strolling around town, we found this cute cafe offering a nice menu for breakfast. They were very tourist friendly and offer a range of different food for all sorts of appetite.

kolektiv

Let’s have a look at the menu first. They offer the menu in English and in Czech so we were well looked after when it came to ordering our meals.

Let’s look at what we have ordered. We ordered a Kolektiv, sun-dried tomato and olive spread & pancakes & cereal for the kids to share. For drinks, we ordered a green tea and coffee.

The meal came in a timely and present beautifully. The olive paste from my meal was exceptional and is highly recommended if you come to this cafe. The kid’s pancakes were not popular amongst the kids but I ate it all. The eggs dish was acceptable and the dip was also very nice. We have noticed all their dips and pastes tastes really delicious and recommend to at least order a dish with them. There are also all sorts of pastries and cakes from the display which you can also order

The prices here are definitely cheaper than what we pay in Sydney and the food quality was brilliant. Normally we would expect to pay at least x2 more in Sydney. The cafe was nicely spaced out with plenty of seating and it was nice and cosy for a cold autumn morning.

Out & About by Night Around Český Krumlov @ Czech Republic with Travelgirl

Hi Everyone,

During our visit to Český Krumlov, it was already the end of autumn and the weather has turned really cold when the sun sets. After we visited Český Krumlov castle (will post separation on our experience), we walked around town to find a nice restaurant for dinner.

Due to being there on a weekend and the non-peak season, many places were closed or were booked out. We finally found a really nice restaurant in an alley and had a nice hot meal there. During our stroll around the town by night, it was really pretty with the lights lit up around town. Many gifts stores were still opened but we decided to not visit them until the morning because the temperature was just dropping.

We only stayed for one night. Not sure if we will ever come and visit Český Krumlov again any time soon but we will definitely recommend people to visit this lovely town if they are going to Czech Republic.
